Why do I have to take the Parks Canada Shuttle?
Parks Canada controls all vehicle access to Lake O'Hara, with their shuttle the only available alternative to walking the 11km access road (bikes/ebikes are prohibited). This is to protect this ecologically sensitive area and to preserve the experience of secluded hiking for visitors.
How do I book this trip?
First step is to contact us with your requested dates. Providing a range of dates improves chances of success with securing seats on the shuttle. Guiding agents are allotted a small number of seats, and can generally secure seats on or near your requested date of travel. Once we have secured your seats we will confirm your program and reach out to you with any updates (ie whether the 0830 or 1030 shuttle is secured).
When are shuttle reservations opened?
