The walk through Grotto Canyon offers the visitor an exciting opportunity to walk along the bottom of an ice covered canyon floor.

As the walk progresses, the walls of the canyon close in, and become ever steeper and higher. Just when it looks like the canyon has ended at two dramatic frozen waterfalls, it takes a sharp turn to the left and continues.

And then just as suddenly the canyon ends and opens up into a "Lost Valley" whose only entrance or exit is the path you've just taken! This dramatic finish in an almost inaccessible mountain valley and the "Hermit's Hideout" will leave you with a taste of what real wilderness is all about!
