Guided Bike Tours
This is an easy tour with just one short hill at Bow Falls and includes some of Banff's best scenery. The ride will take you along the Vermillion Lakes with its excellent bird life, including eagles and ospreys, and then over to Bow Falls and the Golf Course loop. Bow Falls is a scenic viewpoint and made famous back in the the 50's with Marilyn Monroe and "River of No Return". If time and energy permits, a ride on the other side of the Bow River to "Surprise Corner and its view of the Banff Springs Hotel can be included.
Sundance Canyon Bike and Hike
Lake Minnewanka Loop This 16 km loop that will take you along a quiet back road to the largest lake in the Rockies, Lake Minnewanka, and also past the ghost town of Bankhead, Two Jack Lake and, if time permits, Johnson Lake. This is a moderately challenging ride and does have a number of hills that will get you using all of the gears on your bike. The ride makes an excellent 1/2 day tour and there are lots of places to stop and walk around, take photos, and also to have a picnic lunch. Bring a camera!
